Nearly two years ago, the
neighborhood known as Danversport
was devasted by a factory explosion.
After rebuilding and reuniting, the
neighborhood threw a block party to
celebrate the restoration and to thank
the first responders, town officials, and
civic groups that helped the
neighborhood through this long ordeal.
The First Spiritualist Church of Salem
participated in the event serving up ice
cream sundaes donated by Friendly's
Ice Cream. In addition, Legal Sea Foods
accepted the church's invitation to send
along the Legal Sea Foods Chowda
Van...always a hit among New
Englanders! Thank you to Legal Sea

and community-mindedness.
